Looks like just about enough :D

OMG. That could test my resolve to give up dairy.

OMG. Now I NEED cheese. I so love cheese... I'm really trying to cut back on cheese, but I'll never ever be able to cut it out entirely. I think I could eat all of that if I really tried.

bronxelf says:

Euphro- that's only about half the cheese section. But the other part (by where the cheesemonger is) was too crowded to get a decent photo.

This market is not far from my house. It's an *excellent* world/gourmet market, and I'm really grateful that something so good has opened up locally (even though the aisles are REALLY too narrow.)

You are so lucky to live so close to that. Course, in upstate NY we don't have a whole lot of choices when it comes to decent food.

Do you guys have a Wegmans?

And this store is relatively new. I used to have to go down to Harlem to Fairway or farther downtown for a Whole Foods. This place is smaller than both, but it's great quality and it's blessedly local.

mostly I'm just glad i have a market like this I don't have to take a train to reach.

Some lovely food to sample there... if I was to buy some I'm not sure how much would last till I got home

The market is really quite an international tour. I'm quite impressed with their selection.

Also, I have pear ginger upside down cakes in the oven. If they come out half as good as the batter tastes, I may have found a new go-to cake recipe.

So close to your house...how fabulous!

I think we just found the first fieldtrip for the next time I visit...

22nd Nov 2007, 11:54

bronxelf says:

Yes, and it's a lot closer than having to go down to Fairway. It's like.... 3 blocks down from the 1 train station at 238 and Broadway.

22nd Nov 2007, 11:58

Geodyne says:

That's stagger-back-loaded-down distance!

22nd Nov 2007, 13:58

bronxelf says:

Or just get a cab for $5
