Is this Auckland Steve? I grew up there and even then Christmas felt a little strange what with the fur clad Santa, the spray on snow and roast dinners on a scalding hot day. But you get to have New Year's celebration camping on the beach.

wow, sun. kinda forgot what it looks like. we don't get much of it in scotland this time of year. in summer it gets given out by the council in little parcels which are generally limited to two per household.

Actually I am impressed with New Zealand full stop. it is so beautiful and friendly here.

It is a lovely city. Astondingly beautiful. As I grew older, I became less and less immune to the beauty. Even driving over Mangere bridge was a delight. I miss having mountains in a city.
