Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, looking rather spooky

This came out really well, especially considering it was dark, raining, and I was on a coach with steamed up windows. Yay for the new cameraphone!

OJ - if you're in L'pool on the evening of the 13th, the St Lucy's candlelit choir event should be worth the fiver. Full-on Swedish midwinter nonsense; young girls singing in honour of the Queen of Light whilst wearing crowns of candles, etc. Roughly as Christian as a Yule log...

Well thank you, Lords of Highlightery :D I would like to have seen a bit more of this place, it's only due to slow traffic that I got to see it at all.
J I was in the 'pool seeing a show for Sharon's birthday, and we added a bit of touristy stuff in for good measure.

Thanks Hildegard. I shall have to see whether my love of spectacle trumps my dislike of religion.

I know someone who's getting married in one of the cathedral's chapels next spring - which I'd be fascinated to see - though I suspect my well known dislike of religion will not get me an invite!

The cathedral was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott, who also designed the famous red telephone box, trivia fans...
