Thanks for starting this Nige, I was really stuck for something to do in all that spare time I've got these days.
365 days? that's a whole year, right?
OK, let's see how it goes.
For anyone reading this who's not sure what it's about;
Our good (and slightly twisted) friend Nige has thought up another cracker.
Start a new blog and post a self portrait every day for the next 12 months. That's 365 posts, one a day, every day, without fail, of the same subject. Simple? yeah, right.
These other eejits are doin'it too! Join us!

Onto the Hull-Rotterdam boat!
I was on the scots-english border this morning, Berwick upon Tweed, headed up to the University at Sterling with some equipment for the biology lab then over to Glasgow.
From there I was to swap trailers with André in Blackburn. When I got to the parking place we'd agreed on he was stood outside his truck, freezing!
While he'd been outside, getting set for the change-over, his driver's side door had blow shut and spontaneously locked itself! The engine was still running, he's locked out!
No phone, no wallet, no jacket!
I tried fiddling the door but I'd make a lousy car-thief. I even climbed onto the roof to see if could get in through the roof-hatch. No joy.
We called the Volvo help line, they couldn't say when they'd get there. One of us still had to make the night boat so I gave him a tenner for the Mac Donalds up the road there, he can wait for Volvo in the warm at least.
Apprently those Volvo's do that quite often. I was thinking on the way here how that could be pretty dangerous in the winter, you pop outside to "kick the tyres", it's pretty cold but you'll only be a minute, door locks itself, middle of nowhere, middle of the night, phone's in the cab, no one around. What then?
780km's today. Pfff

tnx all, André was on the move again a couple of hours after I left him, so all ok there.
But it's still a pretty strange thing to have happen.
