And that smell? Not the latent smell of fear, probably just wee, from the old wino that "lives" there.

there are quite a few of those things along the coastline here. I remember seeing a German Bunker, in the middle of Wuppertal, and that was way creepier, all the more so for being still there in the midst of urban development
Always claustrophobic and always smelly.
I once went through an underground network of gun tunnels that sat on (under) a hall by the harbour. Not as claustrophobic bu certainly not a comfortable place.
