"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience

Skating away, skating away, skating away On the thin ice of the new day"

I had nailed a suet block on the deck railing, trying to lure Hairy to a better shooting position. It would have been nice if he found the suet block...unfortunately, it was now residing in Dolly's stomach.

Caine says:

Thank you. I put another suet block out, now I'll see if it takes another week to get him on the railing.

Thanks, Maggie. :) I spotted a wild turkey in a tree outside my studio window about a half hour ago and was too busy staring with my mouth open to get a shot. Oh well.

All brilliant!

Caine says:

Thanks, Euphro! In the last few days, I've missed a wild turkey shot, a great horned owl shot, and something that was as big as a blue jay, but with a white underside...I really have to work on my reaction time!

Caine says:

Oh, and this woodpecker would be Harriet, the female. I caught one good shot of the male the other day. The males have red flashing on their head.
