Are you *sure* that's Cromer?
Looks like the South Seas. : ) Wonderful shots
The top one is stunning. Makes me think I really should be using my tripod more.
it is indeed cromer :)
a tripod is brilliant for these shots - and for star trials - pop your slr on a tripod with an IS / VR lens and bulb expose for 15 minutes - magical results :)
one with Image Stabilation (Canon) or Vibration Reduction (Nikon)
It basically prevents unncessary camera shake that may be caused by the slightest of movements during a long exposure.
'course, if you have a good solid tripod, you don't really need VR.
but it's still nice to have. especially when you really don't want to be carrying around a good solid tripod!
great shots. I wish I could be bothered to get up this early and go to the coast! :)
beautiful shots. I had to google 'Cromer'. crabs, Henry Blogg, and lots of lifesaving.
a hell of a lot of RNLI lifesaving, yes. also, stephen fry was a waiter at the hotel paris which overlooks the pier.
I love the colours in the top shot.
Pretty pretty :)
Ah, that brings back memories. Just 6 months ago I sat in that very pavilliony thing basking in the sun and watching the world go by!
Is that fog in the first shot? I've been there but somehow it was a whole lot less ethereal.
May be all you're doing lately but you're doing it awf'ly well.
thanks all and OJ, its not fog, due to me shooting a 30 second exposure the sea has a tendency to turn all ethereal! :)
my god these are beautiful. that second one ... absolutely breathtaking. don't stop with the sunrise pics if they're this good!
