Haven't posted in a while. I'm having a bit of a lack of inspiration at the moment.

This is the Starbucks next to my work, which was blown up by a nutter this morning. It was pretty devastating though, with shrapnel flying into the shops on the other side of the road. Mercifully no one was hurt (it happened at 2am). I work in the building with the circular windows in the back of the photo. Full story here

woah - that is pretty scary. in vancouver? isn't that the 'best' place to live in the world?

JetBlack> Yup. I think the "best place to live in the world" is a bit of an overstatement, but I've really enjoyed the last 3 years here.

It didn't even make international news it seems. They caught the guy; they think he was just an arsonist trying to start a fire and hadn't anticipated a gas main exploding. He was the only one to be injured, suffering from 2nd degree burns.

Look on the bright side, when they rebuild and renovate they will be able to sub let some of the floor space out to Starbucks.

That way people waiting in the queue for Starbucks can have a Starbucks while they wait.......
