what did you think of Albert Dock? I'm not sure that it worked for me

kyoob says:

I was a bit underwhelmed, didn't seem to fit. Almost as if too much money had been thrown at it.

It had the feeling of artificial Liverpool for tourists.

It's like Bourdain's search for the perfect meal. It's never just about the food

kyoob says:

but nige, was it not because of the company not the location that you had such a great time?

29th Feb 2008, 10:33

nige says:

OJ says:

Apart from the Tate, I'm not much of a fan either. It's "upmarket" in a soulless way, ie. expensive and without atmosphere. I suspect Nige might have rocked up with his own atmosphere.

edit: Looks like you were in the PanAmerican club there? It's dark and the food isn't very nice!

taniwha says:

Oh, I'd forgotten about the Tate. I really enjoyed my visit to that.
