A 366-day pursuit in personal portraiture, presented by nige.
The challenge: to photograph, and post to this moblog, a portrait shot of myself, every single day, over the next year. Apparently, it's much harder than it sounds...
Perhaps more challenging: that i don't enjoy seeing my phizog in a photo at the best of times, and knowing that i'm probably going to annoy the hell out of the moblog community in doing this. So, sincere apologies in advance for this undertaking, but i just can't help myself. I promise to try and be creative, so you won't have to look at my mug every day.
Anyone interested in joining me? I think i'm probably going to need the company...

How very symbolic, I hope it's a positive new begining. Where are you off to?
Actually i haven't decided where i'm moving onto, but i'll probably do something interim for the next year and a bit, until my long term plans come into fruition.
like the shot ,but will not be joining the head shaving band wagon! anyway my hair seems to fall out every time I take these wretched tablets!
Wow, free, free as a bird. Good for you Nige.
I'm definitely not shaving my head though I'm still not reconciled to the little halo of curls everyone's talked me into keeping so I might get it all cut off and blame you Nige :)
Thanks OJ. You don't like the curls? i like them, but if they gotta go, you have an excuse :)
Joker, WS, come on, skin it!
They're pretty but I don't always want to be pretty.
Thanks for the excuse. Be careful with that razor next time!
good luck for the future
the shaving experience is always a great feeling - but I wouldn't join you until it turns a wee bit warmer
*runs hands over Nige's head*
no wonder you were looking at shaving mirrors.
congratulations. it's going to be interesting.
* notes that the Google ad below is for "Head Shaving For Women" but decides not to click.
I'm intrigued by these latest photos!
Good luck with the change and all that goes with it, but head shaving? I think you can count me OUT of that one for the foreseable future ;)
Brave boy. On both counts. Really hope things go well for you.
EDIT And I'm keeping my hair, thank you very much. This is the longest it's been for 20 years : )
thanks everyone. 540 & Jane, seeing as you have hair long enough for ponytails, i might just let you off... ; )
Going with the flow, and wishing you all the best for the future, and yes, I also intend to keep my hair (I have a nice little grey bun) ...... do like the pic BTW ....
wtg - Many years ago I was in a hairdressers when the woman gifted me with the phrase 'new hair new man' - which has never applied to me but which I'm sure I'll be able to use one day. Maybe it should be changed to 'new hair new life'...
have fun
i think i will, D.
and Joker, using your better half as an excuse is a big NO NO!
hmmmm. Whist the look is good, you do know that it aint advisable to wet shave moles don't you my dear
SWMBO has told me that she would disown me if I did..
Sorry..

wo hen hao, Patrick Liao.
Back when I was having some medical problems that were doing a number on my scalp I actually considered shaving my head. Dermatologist talked me out of it though as I would have been too vulnerable to infected follicles and other nasty things. You have a nice head Nige, it looks good on you!
