I saw this wonderful work of art for the first time on Tuesday 20.10.2009.
I tried to take a photo of it but unfortunately half a dozen Japenese tourists thought it was a good place for them to sit down and consume their lunch. What a pity that there cannot be away of stopping the memorial being used for the wrong purpose. I t made me feel good inside to remember those poor children and I hope that they had a better life in Britain.

Glad that you had a chance to see the sculpture, albeit with many 21stC visitors. Just read a personal story on someone who survived Auschwitz - still so hard to believe that this occurred in such recent times. Thanks for your comment! Lori
