This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

thank you all

Caine - interesting that your favourites are the two shots I've caught them mid-movement

Joker - where are the photos? :D

Nige - also interesting, this is my favourite of the set for their faces but Maria would hate it because, as it's mid-movement it doesn't show the leg coordination.

And what poetry it is - 2,3 and 5 show how perfectly co-ordinated is their dance (which of course was unrehearsed, which is the essence of salon tango)

JokerXL says:

Last time I danced the "trucker's stomp" I quite literally nearly got arrested.
A policeman on board the P&O; "pride of Hull" led me off the dance floor and warned me to behave.

Joker :(

I still think that this has turned out to be an interesting demonstration of the gulf between what a photographer and a dancer would consider good or acceptable!

I think I would be better suited to the 'Trucker Stomp' than the Tango .... much as I would like it to be the reverse :)
