See, this one reminds me of a book.. I can't remember the name of it - about a giant and his garden and children coming into it and him not wanting them there which made it winter all the time.

There is actually a walled garden behind that wall. We didn't make it in though, it was shut, perhaps by giants.

nice image, and i agree with Beth, it made me think of the selfish giant as well. And now i know there is a walled garden, i an thinking of the secret garden as well now.

OJ says:

Thanks for the link Helen. The story does seem familiar.

I wasn't really thinking about the garden when I took this photo - but of course you can read all that into it, when you know it's there. It was the three colours and the contrast between the winter tree and spring flowers that interested me. I notice the seasons changing more now, because of and through moblog.

Where are all the bluebell pictures I ask myself? Is it not bluebell time yet?

25th Mar 2008, 23:13

beth says:

Yeah i guess that's why it reminds me of that story. The seasonal references and the wall. I can just imagine the little boy under that tree.

Went to the bluebell wood to look for you & sorry, it's still just "the wood". Give it another few weeks...
