"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

I like how you can see the translucency of the wings in their shadow! Another sign of spring!
Thank you! It was a lovely bit of colour for me. :) I was making this fly very nervous, but as I was leaving the schoolyard, checking my pics in camera, he alighted on my thumb for a moment. I seem to have developed this odd relationship with flies.
Looks like jewellery...
Realise you're all but a Jain in your concern for other critturs but flies is too nasty in their habits & too many of 'em bite for me to have any kind of relationship with them. Spring is hardly here & I'm stocking up on swats & citronella...
I'm a homicidal (flyicidal?) maniac when it comes to flies in the house or horseflies. Horseflies are plain evil, and they bite me.
The pretty ones with the interesting colours never come in the house, so I don't mind having a photographic relationship with them. :D
Thank you, Carpe! I took these with my little Nikon Coolpix S50. I don't have a macro lens for my D80, and it will probably be ages before I do. :)
Hee. Ever since I've picked up a camera, I've developed all kinds of odd relationships!
