What I see, is what you get.
He's actually lost a fair bit of weight. He's not really a walrus anymore. Hydrox has taken over the walrus category.
It's true. He's a totally normal weight now.
Hydrox found all the weight he lost.
Oh very cute indeed. The teeth make the shot.
How did you get him to lose weight by the way?
We've got a tubby tabby on diet food but with all the scavenging she does, not to mention stealing the kitten's food, it just doesn't work....
Partially it's his doing. He's developed a very sensitive stomach, so he eats much less than he used to But part of it is he's mostly kept in the back bedroom. So it's easier to moderate his food intake since I don't have to take into account the other three cats.
He looks well on it anyway. He's just crying out for a tickle in that second shot isn't he?
Yep. He knows if he's extra cute people pet him even more than they do now.
Now if I can just figure out how to get Hydrox to lose the weight...
i want to cuddle him and tickle his chin :)
....and I can practically see up his nose.
I fear that locking MIss T in a room might be the only way to get her too lose weight. Not a practical option though...
it certainly isnt convenient, but it works. In my case it's just because Buggy and Argent don't get along (more specifically, Buggy dislikes Argent- Argent is confused by the whole thing. Argent is usually very content to stay in the back bedroom so that's where he stays.
Have you tried those Feliway things? Woman I met who worked at a cat sanctuary swore by them. Space being at a premium, cats couldn't be too picky about sharing quarters & she reckoned it made life a lot easier for them.
Never tried it myself, could be up there with crystal therapy & past-life pet regression, but thought I'd mention it...
I haven't. But so far, this works reasonably well. I suppose we can try it, but in the meantime this is not terrible. Buggy is more upset about it than Argent, because he hates being on the other side of a closed door.
Felliway worked for our warring cat and kitten. Now they're partners in crime with only the odd recreational scrap. Of course, they might just have got used to each other, who knows?
Losing the weight is good then! I'm glad he's doing well, when you said he's not the walrus now I feared he might be ill.
Well, he kind of is. He's got a really touchy stomach. The last time we had a go round with him at the vet it cost a thousand dollars just to diagnose his happy ass. I just don't HAVE it right now. So we make him happy as best we can and keep his stress level low.
Hydrox is concerning me. She seems to have a touch of arthritis in her hip and the weight isnt helping.
