To think I keep planning on replacing these windowshades. That's the second time this particular shade has been highlighted.

That spray of spooge is the bees' handiwork, too. Bastards are drilling holes in my eaves and kicking the waxy sawdust back onto my windows where the evening sun bakes it on.

You should see them now. There are five or six of them and they're dogfighting. Not that I've been able to catch it with the camera.

this is stunning - can I send a copy to Lucia?

And I agree with Mandy....

Actually.... any chance of a high res version for me? Private use only,

Thanks all!

High-res version, such as it is, is here. This was taken with my 2-megapixel camphone, so there's not a lot to work with. The version at the link visited Photoshop briefly so I could knock out some of the color noise and the worst of the compression artifacts. Due to the nature of the image (i.e., no crisp edges), it should scale up from here okay for whatever purpose.

I'll stick with a Creative Commons rule-set on the "high-res" version. Use it for whatever you want, even commercial uses if you can find one for it, but if anyone asks, tell 'em where you got it.

And tell Lucia I said hi. :)
