Thank you. It's a bit belated as the German network wasn't letting me send emails at the weekend.
The cake was from a bakery - something like a "Bohemian apple and walnut cake". Very nice it was too.

As it's one of the cities we focused on for my Modernisms course this year. Berlin Alexanderplatz. Horrible book. And TV series. Fassbinder. 20 hours, nuff said.

Ah, as you would. There was quite a bit of modernism (visual art) in the Hamburger Kunsthalle. I never tire of it.
Klee, Kandinsky, Magritte, Max Ernst, Anita Ree, Marc Chagall, Man Ray, Picasso etc. etc.
