Hotdog - It HAD to be a side shot. Those who were of legal drinking age were shot head on. It was a very quick way to see if somebody was over 21 with a glance at the ID, and no math.

My favorite "back then" thing about this shot, is the visible 3 earrings. There is the oh so 80's big hoop. Then there are the two studs, both of those studs are through holes that I pierced myself, with a needle and ice cube. On the other side there were two earrings, one through a hole that I pierced myself.

I also pierced the ears of more than one of my friends back then. WTF? We were obviously all somewhat lacking in good sense and a healthy fear of germs and infection.

(I now only have one hole in each earlobe. The others closed up years ago, and I very rarely wear earrings at all.)

In Massachusetts in the 1960s, if you were under 21, there was a curfew on your driver's license; you had to be off the road by, I think, 11:00 p.m.

Tori says:

I lived in Massachusetts in 1978, but I didn't have a license. :)

I was able to talk my way out of my first speeding violation (in a Volkswagen beetle) by explaining that I was merely hurrying home in order to comply with the curfew...
