hey, it\'s my sister Clare!
and such formidable sisters in arms you both are.
nice shot.
Wow, you went to the first one? I went to one (and helped organise to get people to one) in that very park in the mid-90s.... Chumbawumba played. Who was on the bill today?
Cool Maggie!
I can just imagine you \"rockin\' against racism\" in your teens.
:-)
I was doing the same down in Portsmouth, disrupting NF rallys with the Anti Nazi League.
excellent. I got quite involved with the anti-nazi league around that time, met some great people too.
Thanks peeps,
... and SR, it is indeed your sister Clare :) ... she plays a mean beat on the plastic cup and hand .... and she\'s no mean dancer despite the all weather cycling gear :)
OJ, The main bands were, The Good, The Bad and the Queen, Hard-Fi, Roll Deep, Helsinki (Drew McDonnell of Babyshambles .... Babyshambles were meant to be the headliners, but the lack of Pete Docherty kind of put paid to that ) .... Jay Sean, The View, Jerry Dammers, Bashy, Don Letts and Poly Styrene ..... Tom Robinson was on the original list but was a no show (don\'t know why) ....
Joker, I was more than a teenager back in 1978, was fresh out of university and in my first year at Stockwell Park School (a comprehensive just north of Brixton) ...... and yay for disrupting NF rallies ...
Para, met some lifelong friends from those times :)
What a great post and a lovely picture of you Maggie.
A very worthy cause too to be out enjoying yourselves at.
