Somehow glass lifts bring out the fear in me. You can see it in that grippy
hand can't you?

beth says:

you look a bit like you're flying

Dhamaka says:

Now you say it, I can but it still looks more like you're flying or some antigrav unit.. Must be the perspective..

28th Apr 2008, 20:44

taniwha says:

you look like Superheroes ready for action

28th Apr 2008, 20:44

Dhamaka says:

they do, don't they - although I'd say on the way to action

28th Apr 2008, 20:47

Jane Doe says:

That is the best shot I've seen in a long time.
Good one V : )

EJ says:

You are hanging on for dear life there

28th Apr 2008, 21:42

OJ says:

Ha ha. I did think it looked like a still from a thriller. I made V take the picture to take my mind off the plummeting glass lift.

Thanks for the highlight. We shall have to always go out in co-ordinating scarlet and black now!

28th Apr 2008, 22:11

Spiderbaby says:

Great shot! Has a bit of the Mission Impossible about it :)

28th Apr 2008, 22:11

OJ says:

Only if the superheroes are saying "Quick, Quick, Take a Picture."

It's the moblogger's version of "Muuuum."

beth says:

you're definitely robin.

28th Apr 2008, 22:37

OJ says:

looks very Mission Impossible

Brilliant shot : )

28th Apr 2008, 23:47

hildegard says:

Absolute corker.

29th Apr 2008, 00:22

OJ says:

Thanks (on V's behalf, I was merely directing).

Hildegard, you might like the location of this lift: St Nikolai Kirche. The second Gilbert Scott tower/spire I'd been up in as many weeks. I prefered the one with stairs.

29th Apr 2008, 00:37

hildegard says:

Love it - the tallest building in the world. For two years. Wonderful, thank you.

Rather fine shot me ducks, what a talented lady you have

29th Apr 2008, 07:34

seaneeboy says:

Absolutely smashing. I almost feed for the baddie on the other side of the door who's about to get his ass kicked by these two heroes :)

29th Apr 2008, 09:16

OJ says:

Thanks again. I am glad I bothered to put lipstick on that day stefanie but I wouldn't say I look high fashion.

Def Null, I hope your insomnia gets better.

29th Apr 2008, 10:33

Alfie says:

If it weren't for the SLR you could almost be in a Doctor Who episode - really similiar colours.

29th Apr 2008, 12:22

OJ says:

And no tweaking, believe it or not. That's how it came out of the camera. I think it's a slightly slow exposure coupled with motion that produced those warm colours.

So how long do you reckon, before The Doctor regenerates as a woman?

29th Apr 2008, 12:30

Joe says:

This is awesome.

and yes, you'd make a fanastical Dr. Who :)

29th Apr 2008, 12:50

OJ says:

Well, V would. As Beth points out, I think I'm firmly in the sidekick role here. A sonic screwdriver would be great though.

29th Apr 2008, 13:00

Joe says:

Oh I don't know, I think you look more like the Dr here.

29th Apr 2008, 13:16

nige says:

it took me several looks to work out this is not a glass-bottomed lift. duh.

fwiw i don't think of superheroes when i look at this. to me it seems like you're both on a space shuttle just floating about, especially V.

29th Apr 2008, 13:18

OJ says:

I'll tell her you said that Joe. :)

No, not glass-bottomed. Glass sides and a mirrored ceiling. And then outside intermittently open to the elements up a great big neo-gothic spire. Yikes.

29th Apr 2008, 13:24

mara says:

This's spectacular!
it seems that you are flying in a kitchen, (the oven is on te right of your hand)
: )

29th Apr 2008, 14:41

OJ says:

Mara that's very funny! Doors to manual, boosters online, oven to gas mark five and...energise.

29th Apr 2008, 16:33

Euphro says:

What a fantastic photograph! A well-deserved hightlight :)

29th Apr 2008, 16:49

JokerXL says:

Brilliant OJ!
Like you're flying, or floating, the way you might if the lift had broken free from it's cable and was plummeting earthwards to certain death.
Sorry, don't mean to put you off lift-travel.
