silar31 says:

Oh dear. Don's arms and sometimes neck have come out looking like that after a vet visit when they do things to Bandit he doesn't care for, like nail trims. Don's learned to wear long sleeves!

(And Bandit's relatively calm for Don. Anyone else tries to hold him down and he turns into a Tasmanian Devil. Complete with scream.)

Jane Doe says:

Eek! You need gauntlets. Or a dart gun.

EDIT Must learn to read. I do not advocate cleaning eyes with a dart gun

Eek indeed, he can do this through long sleeves. You can see why I had to use bike armour when he had the allergic reaction - this is no more than normal resistance.
Oscar would not be suitable for a home with young children, as the rescue shelters euphemise...

Screaming, clawing dachshund sounds plain scary, even if it is wee Bandit. ;)

what do you hold him in? do you wrap a towel around him, duck tape, straight jacket? whatever it is it isn't strong enough.....poor oscar, poor you :-(

1st May 2008, 07:46

hildegard says:

No mere towel can hold him, maybe it is a job for gaffer tape, now you've got me thinking...

swamprose says:

dear sweet oscar did that? time for motorcycle gear, and yes, duct tape.

1st May 2008, 12:16

paintist says:

yes, it could work.....

I love how it says 'report abuse' under the photo.

hildegard says:

Thanks P, you duck abuser! They basically had to do that to get his x rays, hence the anaesthesia. Taping Oscar to a board is never going to be a consensual activity...

good one P! :)

See losgadh's eagleicious blog for a perfect illustration of duck x ray protocol;

Wonder if P knows they really do do that?
