The curious incident of the blog in the night-time.

Ha, nope vodafone are hans-free!
I managed to persuade my new insurer's to issue me with a new handset after a great struggle. They were reluctant to dish up the goods as our policy was just 2 hours old when the phone went walkies and insisted that they couldn't be sure that our policy began at midnight, therefore did not know whether they could shell out for something that disappeared at 2am - How ridiculous is that?!
Once they agreed to replace my phone they sent me a new upgraded GX30i, which was very nice of them. One problem - They sent me a PAYG handset which couldn't be transfered to my contract without a load of old rigmarole. Vodafone had to send me a new sim and instructions on how to unlock the handset.
It was all rather stressful, but I'm back at last, and will go a little easier on the Stellas when I have my mob on me in the future!
Cripes! I've taken vodafone's insurance out on this handset, this time. I reckon we'll be stung bigtime when our insurance policy comes to be renewed in a year's time. I can't afford to make another claim! It's frickin' expensive though - £7.95 a month! :-o
Mine's with orange and it's just shy of £5 a month... a little steep, but I think it's worth it!!
Okay, now I feel robbed! I did wonder whether it's possible to take out some kind of independent insurance (i.e. not with a service provider, nor with home contents insurers) purely for a mobile phone. Maybe I'll take another look.
Just saw this. Gorgeous
Yey, did ya get a new mob then? or forcefully remove one from your previous mobile service provider? Was his name Hans?
Cool! good to have you back. Mobile providers and insurers are a royal pain in the arse. Went through hell with 02 when they took a whole years policy out of my account at once. I was supposed to be paying monthly. Buggers.
bloody hell. Think mines about £4.95.
