MaggieD says:

Now this takes me back a bit ....

Into my heart an air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
This is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain.
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Thank you for that :)

I so remember woods full of bluebells as a kid.
We don't see them over here.

Crikey, seem to have sparked an outbreak of actual nostaligia with what was meant as a tongue in cheek title...

Joker - seems like your mission for this week is to park near a bluebell wood if at all possible. Worth it just for the scent.

I've a week off this week H, EuroStar to London on Wednesday for the Shoot-London competition.
Any Bluebell woods in central London?

hildegard says:

Southwark would be the most central I can think of - Dulwich & Sydenham Hill Woods. There's a by-borough search here; wildweb.london.gov.uk/wildweb/
We've been having hot weather & it is dahn sarf, so scurry off into the woods as soon as you can. ;)
