We're currently in a scrap yard...

They're not called junctions in Albania. They're called free-for-alls. And they don't have roads. They have potholes.

Check out this morning took hours, then Tirana was bonkers, then the Macedonians didn't know how to run a busy border crossing- it was a bit like Istanbul all over again. But we're all though and racing (not like that...) to our hotel for our welcoming party, Macedonian banquet and band. Time, as ever, is running short for driving and blogging.

It seems we really made an impression on Shkoder. The film crew were hanging around for ages in the evening and the morning, and apparently they aired two 5 minute pieces along with dumping 30 mins of raw unedited footage on national TV. We've got a copy of that and I'm sure they'll be some me in at Dumball.org eventually. Also, the inept hotel wouldn't open the club in the basement as they said they would, so
we found a student union which agreed to open up for us especially. The Alabanian are brilliant- all really frinely and helpful, they just do things a little differently to us. Every kid just stopped pointed and screamed in delight.

I'm sure there's a lot else been going on but it hard to keep up. Luckily plenty of other people are also helping fill in the gaps. We're now lost in Macedonia, it's proper dark and dinner started half an hour ago... But this is what it's all about- back in the EU tomorrow and 'normality'. Boooo!
