Hot on the heels of go to school dressed like a Victorian day, today was
go to school dressed as a badger day. The playground looked like it was
going to host a Newcastle United cup final match...

We have lived here in Badger land for 2 months now and I can't make up
my mind whether I have fallen in to the rift or if life has just become
the hallucenogenic acid experience that I always knew it could be.

Wait until they start getting in to modern history then you will have..

Come to school dressed as:
Schutzstaffel officer or a member of the Waffen SS.

Roman history

Come to School dressed as:
Gladiator Decimus Tarpeius Twiglet Jnr

Or come to school dressed as:

But I must say it is a way cool idea, I wish they had things like this when I was at school..

Thanks Hotdog.

nige and SFG: This outfit was easy to put together as all the black and white clothes were already in her wardrobe and the mask cost 75p from a party/fancy dress shop. This was fortunate for us because the letter asking that the young ladies and gentlemen dress as badgers for school only came home on Friday afternoon. You have to be resourceful here in the sticks!

I think you're right on both counts. Rift + hallucinogens is the only credible explanation!
Were they dressed as badgers to get into the minds of badgers? Or was it some kind of a sponsored Wind in the Willows-athon? Next week - weasels.
Imagine teaching a class full of badgers with a straight face... or were the teachers dressed up too?

Twiglet says:

The area has a badger association and the school logo is a badger Spiderbaby. Yesterday someone from a badger trust/charity was coming in to do a presentation and those who dressed as badgers (it was not compulsory) gave a 50p donation to the badger people.

factotum: I think there are a few of us who want to dress as badgers or other woodland creatures. I myself may wear the mask all next weekend.... I like masks.
