Its just copying and pasting bits of 4,5,6 different images together and just making sure they line up.

sure, thats why i asked. you can ever so slightly see the joins in the top shot, but i read a tute recently which showed an easier way of doing this. essentially, you stack all of the photos on top of one another, and erase elements of each layer in turn, revealing the subject underneath. when i find it i'll send it to you. i think you'll like it.

I know the first shot's not quite right but that was my first attempt, the second shot seemed to come together much better.
