Knowledge pursues me but I am faster.......

If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, then baffle them with bullshit.......

.......One day, we will look back on this, laugh nervously, and change the subject…

Only in our dreams are we free. The rest of the time we need wages.

Looking through the blog one day,
Got an idea for a pic,
OJ, the new Dr Who
With Helen as her sidekick ...

Replacing the rusty K9
With our own Robocat,
Dr Who's first 'Oscar',
Now what do you think of that ?

.... as a result of following a Dr Who thread on Rich's blog ....

You have no idea how scared I am at the idea of Robo-Oscar.

dead cool cartoon
Robo-Oscar's a brilliant touch

OJ says:

Ooh, thank you so much Maggie D! I love it!

You fixed it for me! You even made it look like me, which is amazing.

I'm not going to be able to show this to my very own adventurous ginger cat, who will want to come into space too!

I should also point out that I already have a sidekick in life, who might have something to say about intergalactic gallivanting. Mostly "if you can work the Tardis you can pass your driving test".

OJ says:

I think MaggieD is very prescient.

Have you iPlayered yet Helen?

30th Jun 2008, 12:04

Rich says:

that's awesome

Oh I forgot, Arabella Weir also played the Doctor in one of the audio plays.
That's three female Doctors. HAPPY NOW?

30th Jun 2008, 13:40

Helen says:

I am fully up-to-date.

Audio play? Hmmm. Not really what I had in mind.

30th Jun 2008, 13:47

Rich says:

dude, there's more doctor who in audio form than there is in televisual form. In fact, there's more books than there are television stories.
Holy shit, that's pretty mindblowing.

30th Jun 2008, 13:55

Helen says:

Yes, mindblowing...

30th Jun 2008, 14:06

Rich says:

well it is for me

*cries*

30th Jun 2008, 14:17

Helen says:

There, there.

30th Jun 2008, 14:17

OJ says:

I like Arabella Weir. She ticks all the right sarcastic boxes :)

30th Jun 2008, 14:44

Rich says:

Well you see you should be careful what you wish for. Now we're all spoiled it's worth pointing out that if it all goes flippy/floppy/doctor-dying next week, all those mysteries surrounding Donna could well be resolved by her being the (temporary) vessel for the Doctor. Although I don't know why i'm knocking Tate, she's been superb mostly.

I hasten to add this is all pretty much entirely moot as Dave's already been seen filming this years Christmas special, but who knows. Could be flashbackariffic I suppose.

But it's not.

30th Jun 2008, 15:46

Helen says:

It'll be fine!

I am worried about Billie though. She seems to have gone well weird. And she's responsible for the Dr forgetting to look left and right as he crosses a road... how can you forget that?

30th Jun 2008, 15:54

OJ says:

:snort:

You could see the dalek from stage left trick coming quicker than you could say "fatal flaw" couldn't you?

I so want to see the slow-mo run towards lisping-terminator-Rose parodied on the French and Saunders Christmas special. Maybe that's what David Tennant's been filming?

30th Jun 2008, 17:04

Rich says:

She sounded better than last week, which was almost like she'd come to filming straight from the dentist.

30th Jun 2008, 17:24

Helen says:

I just think she's gone dodgy. I don't trust her.

30th Jun 2008, 17:31

OJ says:

Good point, Helen. Good point.

She's been accidentally atomically scrambled and come back as Belle de effing Jour crossed with Lara Croft (the lame film, not the entertaining Playstation game).

I was quite intrigued by Donna's conversation with the mystic albino and the little trickster rattle that suggested the beetle might still be with her. But if you were her, and you had previous form for having time bent around you, and a mystic albino came and told you that your future was going to go all Tales of the Unexpected... Why would you not mention it to your best friend the Timelord eh?

Unless you were waiting for the next episode.

I've thought about this way too much.

30th Jun 2008, 17:47

Helen says:

Donna is extremely dodgy.

She vascillates from bright and perceptive to being a bit mute and dumb.

I did really like Rose, but this incarnation is just annoying,
