Blanched, peeled, served cold, mixed with a little fish roe... :) Or just with some salt as a snack instead of crisps etc. Marvelous things, do miss having a few rows at the bottom of the garden.

If FF sees them she'll be back in a flash! She'll do anything for a broad bean. :D

The quality's great, big fat juicy ones, I was just a bit disappointed in the quantity. This is from three plants!
Mind you they were (are) climbing up a raspberry bush that's going a bit mad this year.

Spiderbaby says:

Well here's hoping for a good raspberry harvest then!

Raspberry yield was huge!
The Blackbirds ate them all. Climbed under the netting and scoffed the lot.

Spiderbaby is right. Broad beans are my all time favorite food. They remind me of bean feasts we had with my grandparents when we were kids.

I am just about to sit down with some pods and scoff em while watching the footy. Not home grown but fresh form the farm. And i wont share them with anyone!
