"And as you cross the circle line,
Well the ice wall creaks behind
You're a rabbit on the run.
And the silver splinters fly
In the corner of your eye,
Shining in the setting sun.
Well do you ever get the feeling
That the story's too damn real
And in the present tense.
Or that everbody's on the stage
And it seems like you're the only
Person sitting in the audience
Skating away, skating away, skating away
On the thin ice of the new day"

Thanks for the HL, mystery highlighter!
Thanks, Dhamaka.
Thanks, Minkey. He was so very happy. Worried me more than once - he'd start his run from a ways off, and barely manage to stop at the barbed wire. He ran into it twice. I was sorry I didn't have a treat for him. I'll have to get a box of sugar cubes to keep in the glovebox. :)
Thanks, Puddikat. He wanted nothing more than to romp. He was a joy to see.
Great stuff - love the llama impression in #4 & yes, clearly silly happy, lookit those ears...
Thank goodness I'm not wearing 3D glasses.....these would be terrifying!
Awesome series
Thanks, Hildegard. #4 makes me laugh, I told Rick he looks like a demented llama. :D He was almost constantly head bobbing and doing high prances when he wasn't running. He stuck his head over the gate several times to see if he could manage to persuade me to open the gate.
Thanks, EJ. He was definitely high energy!
Sheer joy. Theres nothing quite like a happy horse (except perhaps a demented llama) :D
If you had opened the gate, he would probably never been seen again!
Could be! I imagine he was restless to get to pasture where he could run and roll to his heart's abandon.
FAO Crickson:That's roll as in roll around on the grass, not die and come alive again ;)
Thanks, Carpe. Yes, he had more than few holes due to barbed wire. Witnessing his enthusiasm first hand, it was more than easy to see how he acquired so many. He ran into barbed wire twice right in front of me and I was hollering for him to put on the brakes! He didn't puncture himself while I was there, but he gave me a serious scare.
He didn't seem to be troubled at all. :) They can get terribly enthused while scratching an itch. This guy made it apparent he didn't think much of boundaries. :D
Ace shots, C. You were so close to the fence, I thought he would knock you over a couple of times. He was definately frisky!
Thanks, Rick! Aw, he wouldn't have hurt me. He wanted to run. And a treat. And someone to open the gate for him. :D
