This is my personal blog, not a venue for saleable images. In fact, because it's here that I share things that are important to me with the members of the moblog community, photo quality's not my priority. Events, occasions, achievements, thoughts, trips and experiments - you'll find them all here. Contact me for the development version of my photo portfolio, for a selection of saleable images or visit my dance photography blog or my website for cuttings. And remember that all photos remain my copyright unless I've specifically said otherwise.

"Give, give, give -- what is the point of having experience, knowledge or talent if I don't give it away? Of having stories if I don't tell them to others? Of having wealth if I don't share it? I don't intend to be cremated with any of it! It is in giving that I connect with others, with the world and with the divine."

"The grand show is enternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never dried all at once; a shower is forever falling; vapour is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."
........ John Muir

"The bicycle is the most civilised conveyance known to man. Other forms of transport grow daily more nightmarish. Only the bicycle remains pure in heart."
........ Iris Murdoch

.. Confirmed!
It means I have just a few days to get cycle fit

(the schedule is one of many iterations and has already been changed.. even the dates have changed because I need to try to fit something else in as well.... I'll be there for less than 2 weeks and have other stuff to do as well as cycling so it has all got squashed)

I'm a little apprehensive. I have so much to do in the next couple of weeks - so no more social life for starters

Hari - I'm so tired just from working and taking photos that I've done no cycling for the last 3 days. I plan to do some tomorrow afternoon and have realised I also really need to go to the gym for upper body strength (get tired carrying camera atm) So I hope to start that on Wednesday or Thursday.

Going to need some serious discipline to get work done and train enough in the time I've got...

Minkey - yes *gulps

Spiderbaby - fudge is good, but if in the form of fudge fingers & I don't think my luggage limit would allow more than I'd get through on the flight out there!

For years I've wanted to go shark swimming in Lake Nicaragua but haven't yet managed to get anyone to agree to publish the story.... So give me time, maybe one day...
