The Damndest Thing

Pictures makes me feel as if the nature of my alcoholism and insanity have occasionally been captured. I don't know if anyone who sees this will approve, or if they'll find it even worse than dead baby pictures.
Fascinating? Horrifying? Boring as fuck? Not that fucking is boring.
Hey... you came here. If it's just a fucking table, it's just a fucking table. If it's my mental ejaculate and it pisses you off, piss off.

Why the HELL would you want to know more?

The acquisition of new trucks (INDIES *squeeeee*) meant a mandatory
skate-posse was in order.

Pat, Dar, Eric and Andrew were quickly kidnapped from their various
afternoon activities and we hit the streets. No curb was safe. No pilon
left unolied. No bench unground.
I only have pictures of Dar doing tricks though, because Andrew, Eric and I
all suck. I didn't trust any of them with my technology either. Lousy
skater punks.

But I got some nice local building shots.

I miss skateboarding so much. I havnt been able to skate in about 2 months - vicious knee breakage and much surgery. Seeing these pics makes me alternately happy and depressed.

D'oh, how did you break your knee?!
The worst I've done was tear the ligaments on both knees out once when I was goalie in a street-hockey game.
That took two years so I can only imagine!

I was an idiot is the short answer. The abridged version has me on top of a bus stop doing a backside flip off. I Landed rigidly on my left leg, so the knee broke inwards.

Heh heh heh.
It's the bad landing factor that'll get you every time... I have a little formula for weighing "potential bad outcome" with "how impressive this will be if I don't fuck it up and injure myself horribly".

That is, close your eyes and pray to God.

Thats exactly the formula I stupidly stopped myself from performing.

Just the thought of ligaments tearing is enough to keep me in more trustworthy relationships with gravity and concrete.

But that's a lovely shot of the office block. Mirrored buildings are so pretty with clouds.

Sometimes I wonder if it's because I'm not listening, and so not really hearing you....

...then I realize no, you're really just not saying anything at all...
