/Alfie says:

well if you're in the states that would be an almost certain improvement.

Helen says:

Unfortunately she was born in Otley, West Yorkshire, so I don't think she is eligible for that post. What a shame.

neel says:

Lord High Emperor of Otley would be pretty good, though. I hear they have a vacancy.

Helen says:

I think Meg quite likes that title. And from there she can take Leeds.

2nd Jan 2005, 19:54

neel says:

See - I knew being nice to all cats would pay off sooner or later!

2nd Jan 2005, 20:17

Helen says:

Very wise, very wise. You have to be good to cats, especially the ginger ones.

2nd Jan 2005, 20:28

Helen says:

Special powers? I think we might be going a little bit too far now.

Cats ruling the world – highly plausible.
Special powers – nah, surely not?

2nd Jan 2005, 21:16

neel says:

They don't need special powers.

I think Expose is the coolest UI feature that I've seen in decades. It really is an amazing usability improvement, as well as being eye candy that makes everyone who sees it say "Wow!".

So, I'm not at all shocked that Meg is fascinated by it...

meg has no love for me.

3rd Jan 2005, 15:42

Helen says:

Meg has developed love. Ever since she met Dan she has gone all soppy. She came and sat on my lap for three quarters of an hour the other night.

3rd Jan 2005, 15:44

neel says:

[ neel triggers the can-opener in his kitchen with his phone ]

Yep. That's cool.

3rd Jan 2005, 15:49

Helen says:

Sounds extremely dangerous to me.

Meg eats from pouches anyway. She can rip them open with her teeth.

3rd Jan 2005, 15:53

neel says:

Meg eats joeys? What a cat!

3rd Jan 2005, 15:59

Helen says:

She's banned from Australia. They'll be on special alert if she ever crosses over to the southern hemisphere.

Facts of the day:

Collective noun for kangaroos: a mob. Female kangaroos are permanently pregnant. "Kangaroo farming is a substantially more environmentally friendly meat industry than present sheep or cattle farming".

I love wikipedia.

3rd Jan 2005, 16:10

Helen says:

Fantastic. Can't wait until they get rid of all these sheep and replace them with kangaroos (will they be able to jump over the dry stone walls...? Maybe we'll have to make them bigger...Are kangaroos any good for wool?)

beth says:

i think he has that effect on people. or is that just me and the cat? hm.

meg does really look like she's going for that button. was there a spider on the key?

4th Jan 2005, 04:29

Helen says:

You forgot Benji. But he's forgotten all about him now.

Of course Meg was going for that key, she's a cat, she knows exactly what she's doing.

And absolutely no spiders were harmed in the taking of these photographs.
