They don't half give then some funny names. Jo swears she saw One called the virgin intruder once. How rude. The new bacon rolls are brilliant though.

ooh, and they have mr scruff on the in-train radio

Joe says:

of course the most important question is, do they have wireless internet?

OJ says:

No, surely they don't have wireless internet. Or they didn't yesterday.

They do however have a plug for recharging phones and The Cure on the radio. Which is okay....

Some trains do have WiFi these days. Apparently it's quite pricey, but free if you're in first class.

Joe says:

GNER do, and it's only expensive if you don't know how to subvert the charging mechanism ;D

neel says:

Hypothetically, Joe... how might one subvert the charging system? I'm just curious.

18th Jan 2005, 11:46

Joe says:

well it depends on the device one would hypothetically use to access said network, with a handheld running PalmOS, the charging mechanism fails, falls over and lets the device attach without really having to do anything....with any device running windows, it's a little more complicated, and involves "borrowing" the address of an already connected user...I haven't tried it in Linux yet....

neel says:

Interesting. Hypnothetically.
