Howdy all, OK, found this 1 gig MP3 player on ebuyer.

EDIT: Whoops - sorry, link is knackered... if you're really interested it's on ebuyer.co.uk item no 083145 :D

I've pretty much given up hope of being able to afford an iPod, but the reviews
of this seem... well.. mixed...

But it *is* only 80 quid...

What do you lot recon?

mat says:

I reckon that url doesn't work. I also reckon 80 quid is too cheap.

Why not get a player that holds SD-Cards, and a 1 Gbyte SD-card?

9th Feb 2005, 14:45

Joe says:

hmm your link seems to point at some toner cartridges!
seems very cheep....
if you can stretch to 160 quid, the 5 gig Creative Zen Micro is well worth looking at:

mat says:

If you're spending 160, you might as well save up another month and get a 20Gb iPod for 220....

seaneeboy says:

That's the kind of thinking that will get me in trouble "Stretching" to double the price... then adding an extra bit :D

Aye, I think i'll give it a miss and save up for the fabled iPod. Just don't tell Jo - she'd want to spend it on something silly like the wedding...

9th Feb 2005, 14:52

Joe says:

yeah Shoes keeps making me spend money on the wedding, when I could be pouring it into decent things, like a Kiss player and more memory for my server.

Get a 1 gig iPod shuffle. Works as a datastick too and you get the healthy glow of smugness that comes from Apple products.

beth says:

yes my suggestion is also the shuffle though i have already been beaten to it. shufffllee

beth says:

9th Feb 2005, 15:46

Groovicron says:

Cute. But dumb.

Nice to look at but do you want to have a long relationship with it?

9th Feb 2005, 15:49

neel says:

Cute but dumb works for me.

So my ideal woman is made of white translucent plastic, never gets infected with spyware, has wifi and a great OS built on a unix base. Sounds about right.

beth says:

nah. but whatever you get it'll probably only last a year before the battery knacks anyway.
