I have often thought of doing a photo series of subway station mosaics...
I keep reminding myself that owning a camera phone does not make me a photographer and wait patiently for someone who would do it well to do it.

Thank you! I actually take a LOT of NYC photos. I am often (read: usually) carrying three cameras with me, if you include the one in my phone. But the camera phone is good for subway shots.
