Garden erection

Just up, with much digging help from Rich, a new post* in the garden. Strapped to the side is a habitat I did make which should attract and provide homes for the slightly rare Red Mason Bee.. Several other Exclusive Invertebrate Living Places are planned for this Exclusive high-rise Hedgeside development... watch this space.

They've turned the field next to our house into a car park, so we're trying to provide as many habitats as possible for the displaced nature. The fact that the bees will pollinate our plants and de-aphid our vegetable patch is by the by...

* you can see the older garden post in the background - it has a nice shiny piece of aluminium hanging from it, to function as moving shiny thing at the bottom of the garden and sometime air-rifle target. I like posts.

We've got considerably more garden now than we had this time last week - in the top image, the thin brown line where the lawn meets the bushes translates to about 2 metres wide in real terms, and was cut back last weekend. Quite a large landgrab, really. Next in the pipeline: flowers, veg, pond, sweatlodge. Oh yes.
