These are random moments in the life of an indecent designer and the city she loves.

I am a female, carbon based lifeform.
I am a New York City Native.
I am a Design Professional.
I take photographs.
I also sculpt, paint, create mosaics, and play with weapons.

And sometimes, I even dance about Architecture.

What I see, is what you get.

Okay, the Empire State Building looks lovely in Blue and White. But
the Met Life building on the right is just....

You know? I have no words. The top was amber, the top pyramid was
acid yellow, the layer below was pink and below that was a lime green.
It was fabulous, in a hideous spectacle sort of way. I didn't have
my tripod on me (for once-- I usually carry that sucker *everywhere*,
so this one is a little blurry. My hands just arent steady enough to
do a 1 second shutter speed by hand, even braced against a lamp post.
Sorry about that.

But the color was too much *not* to capture.

I have been in NYC for almost ten months and nobody has been able to tell me what that stupid building is... until now.

Thank you for helping me sleep at night. :)

Are you serious?

Lady? You've been hanging out with the wrong people.

28th Mar 2005, 19:09

Lyzardly says:

Well, now that I think about it, I only asked the people who had transplanted about the same time I did.

And as if it wasn't ugly enough, now it's going to be condos: http://www.gothamist.com/archives/2005/03/31/1_madison_avenue_goes_condo.php

What's not to love about Boingo? When I was a kid and my friends wanted to marry New Kids on the Block, I wanted to marry Danny Elfman. :)

re: hanging out - send me an email, I have been spending way too much time at home.

bronxelf says:

Okay. Can do.

And Briget Fonda married Danny Elfman.
One of my best friends was at the wedding.
I will never forgive him for not bringing me with him. One day, I will get even.

alfie says:

you'll get even when you arrange for lyzardly to meet danny elfman, steal him away from bridget, and you'll be chief briesmaid :)

31st Mar 2005, 19:30

bronxelf says:

Im gonna do all that work, so I can be a fucking *bridesmaid*? Oh HELL no. They can elope like normal people. Im not getting involved.

31st Mar 2005, 19:31

alfie says:

31st Mar 2005, 19:39

bronxelf says:

Bitch, PLEASE. I don't want to be chief *ANYTHING* involved at a wedding *ever again*. ELOPE, people. Seriously.

31st Mar 2005, 19:43

Lyzardly says:

It's okay bronxelf - I have too way to many family members for me to get away with forcing "bridesmaid-dom" upon any non-family folks.

31st Mar 2005, 19:52

bronxelf says:

Oh bless you.

(really though? Elope. Trust me here. Honest.)

I won't ever live it down... his family's Italian and from Jersey... my family's Mormon and from Utah.

If there are two kinds of people you can never escape from, it's Utah Mormons and Jersey Italians.
