I make things on the web, mobile and in the actual world.
I've done lots of bits and bobs over the years, and right now I'm mostly working on this.
I enjoy speaking about things I like, most recently this. You can email me if you'd like, and I'm on twitter.

oh god. it's the flyer with the typos on.
*cringes* :)
took me long enough :s
however, the lucky recipient has some SERIOUS booteh! :D
weee!....I could go check the database to see who the lucky recipient is....but that would spoil the fun :)
:D
and it aint you pal ;) I went for someone I find interesting but dont really know that well on the site you know what I mean?
aah...a good plan my friend I think I may do the same if I ever get my turn :D
ooh, you get to pick someone? I thought that the snailmail doodah picked someone at random for you
*facepalm*....it's always the simple ideas that elude me.....I could implement that pretty easily actually.
reckon you should? thinking more about it, I think it's the right way to go about it...
absolutely, the only real problem would be preventing people from being selected twice in a certain time frame (I wouldn't want this to be a once only thing)...but I reckon I can sort something out...I'll look at it next week sometime...
cool - this'll be going out in teh post monday so... thinking about it though, randomising the selection process sort of removes some of the reason to send, to connect in the real world like this - I remain unconvinced it's a good idea...
People?
hmmm i can see the reasoning for picking yourself as its more personal/real, but also noone wants to be the last one standing on the playing field...trickey one..
I can see the benefit of both.
Maybe a double-badger system: you pick a smaller list -10/15 or something - of people who's stuff you like but you don't necessarily know, and it then randomises from that?
Or you get a smaller possible-list (5?) but it chucks in an extra possibility that's completely random...
Hmm.
I reckon it's ok as is. But it's kinda fun either way.
How many of us are on the list now?
theres only 39 of us so far!
I think I agree, Im not sure!! All I know for sure is that it was excellent to be able to pick who I wanted to send to, that way I could tailor the innards of the box better too.
That's convinced me. There must be a heap of fun in the preparation. Leave it random Joe. :)
Hey /alfie,
put on some sticker contest on for all the users. Let's do it worldwide and photograph it...
see ya!
sticker contest eh? hmmmmn. Well, we do have needs for a new flyer. =)
How about a "get the mobloguk logo in the most noticeable by the masses place"? No photoshopping just real stuff.
i think the sticker idea is ace!
if people go round sticking them up in random places, and if anyone comes across one that they didn't stick, to take a photo. coz thats a silly idea but fun.
and the winner is when there's one on tv taken by the news cameramen or something! ha.
I'm confused, the selection is currently down to the sender *it's not random*....I'm in the very early stages of snailmail2.0...as the one we're using at the moment was slapped together in very little time...in version 2 I'll give the sender a choice of either selecting a receiver or doing it randomly....best of both worlds.
