These are random moments in the life of an indecent designer and the city she loves.

I am a Design Professional.
I take photographs.
I also sculpt, paint, create mosaics, and play with weapons.

And sometimes, I even dance about Architecture.

Euphro says:

Do not ask for whom the bell tolls...

bronxelf says:

well it seems to be related to the school. eh. no nypd, so it can't be that interesting.

19th Apr 2005, 13:49

Euphro says:

They might be getting "bed" footage for some story. There's a motorway bridge I drive over on the way home from work and every few weeks the regional new broadcaster films the traffic. Just so the cars look up to date when they have a road story, I suppose :)

19th Apr 2005, 13:52

Euphro says:

*looks blank* :)

19th Apr 2005, 13:57

Euphro says:

Ah. Thanks for the info :)

anathemad says:

Voting for school budgets is today in many areas. They might be scoping for coverage on that.

Euphro says:

I know "nods" as in a gesture, but is there a technical definition?

19th Apr 2005, 14:21

Euphro says:

anathemad: are you "ana-the-mad" (not very flattering) or "anathema-d" (a bit philosophical) or something else? :)

19th Apr 2005, 14:23

Euphro says:

I never really thought about it in that context, although I understand the principle and know how it is used in dramatic presentation. :)

19th Apr 2005, 14:25

bronxelf says:

for the record, its anathema-d. me? I just call her Misha. :D

19th Apr 2005, 14:40

anathemad says:

Euphro- It is taken from the book Good Omens by Terry Pratchet and Neil Gaiman. One of the main characters is named Anathema Device.

Elf- I smile every time you do.

mat says:

"Any prowling maniac would have had more than his work cut out if he had accosted Anathema Device. She was a witch, after all. And precisely because she was a witch, and therefore sensible, she put little faith in protective amulets and spells; she saved it all for a foot-long bread knife which she kept in her belt."

20th Apr 2005, 04:48

mat says:

Of course, until now I'd been reading it as "Ana the Mad"

Sorry. Should know better. :)

20th Apr 2005, 04:50

bronxelf says:

Yep. Sounds perfectly accurate.

That's our Anathema-d.

20th Apr 2005, 04:50

bronxelf says:

I guess cause I don't have any "Ana" connection there? I always recognized it properly.

Still, I just call her Misha. Makes things *far* less complex. She always knows when someone is coming at her through me-- they all start calling her Misha too, and she knows I started that madness, as I know several Micheles but there is only *one* Misha.

Nice Terry Pratchett reference, and I will get nervous now if your hand starts going for your belt :D

Euphro says:

Oops! That was me :)

20th Apr 2005, 07:10

anathemad says:

I wish I was good good with a knife. Instead I come with mighty point-fu.

21st Apr 2005, 04:07

bronxelf says:

well knives are sorta more my department.

21st Apr 2005, 04:46

anathemad says:

Yes, they are. Me? I'd just hurt myself.

22nd Apr 2005, 03:42

bronxelf says:

leave all the blades to me. I got it covered. *spins stilettos* *eg*

22nd Apr 2005, 03:45

Shoes says:

I mostly thought anathama-d...though i've never heard of Anathema Device, she sounds mad!
