There have been three step changes in the way I have taken photographs:

The first came about twenty years ago, when I got an SLR for the first time. It allowed me to play with exposure, shutter speed, focus and learn the fundamentals.

The second came about four years ago when I got my first digital camera. For the first time I could quickly correct errors of framing and composition on the fly and it made me a better photographer.

The third happened about ten weeks ago when I joined MoblogUK. I finally saw what photography could be. Before, it was as if I was standing in a darkened room of wonders, illuminating one small area with a torch. MoblogUK turned on the light for me, illuminating the whole room in all its glory, and for that, I say thank you all :D

yay!...I can honestly say moblog has not only changed the way I photograph (and hopefully improved it) but also the way I see the world...I like the room analogy

Here's my MoblogUK changed me story:
My camera phone is the first camera I have owned EVER!

I tried using a blogger blog for photos taken with disposable cameras to show my family. Then when I got my camera phone, I started to try and do that as well. It was an abominable hassle.

Then, a friend (lorenteryl) started a Moblog and I got jealous.

Now, I am an addict. Seriously. :)

Euphro: At risk of getting all deep and meaningful, I know exactly what you mean; it has added a new dimension to how I "see"things. It also relieves the boredom of hours in front of a computer, which I have never had to do before. The global aspect is wonderful and yes, to use the dreaded cliche, the sense of "community" too.

Euphro says:

McN: Thanks for your observations. There is a real sense of community, and MoblogUK makes the world feels smaller in the nicest way. Like X11, I love seeing other places, and now it's in as close to real time as the technology currently allows :)
