"If thou be'st born to strange sights,
Things invisible to see,
Ride ten thousand days and nights,
Till age snow white hairs on thee,
Thou, when thou return'st, wilt tell me,
All strange wonders that befell thee,
And swear,
No where
Lives a woman true and fair.
-John Donne
and here was me going to step away from the computer for a while.... you're bad for me, you are..
hello again, by the way :)
hello again:)
its a present for the bank holiday - be old fashioned - use paper:P
Now how did I miss this? I take it its like the dancing man Cypher in Sherlock Holmes
I'd forgotten about the apocrypha in the agony columns until you said that. I really must read Sherlock Holmes again. Dancing men used monoaphlabetic substitution with word breaks didnt they?
Solve it and see:)
And hello:)
Hello, I have only done simple substitution cyphers, with frequency analysis before, not sure how to start at this, do you convert the symbols to arbertary letters and go from there? is there a crib?
You need to start from the first post as this has been running for a while and you only really need pen and paper.
There is a wiki linked on my moblog (http://wiki.ninj4.org/peanutsandwich:main), although it has spoilers, you can use it as a run up to this cypher.
Good luck!
