Joe says:

I won't gt lunch till 2 at the earliest...I have about 300 lines of code to write before I can justify eating....pah.

16th Jun 2005, 12:00

Leo says:

300 lines of code? Ick... I thought Support Monkey was an evil job... Code Monkey is just not me :)

16th Jun 2005, 12:05

Joe says:

well at least it's PHP and not the evil microsoft shite I'm used to writing...

16th Jun 2005, 12:06

Euphro says:

.3 of a klot :)

16th Jun 2005, 12:06

Leo says:

Indeed, that is much better. I can glance through php and know vaguely what it's doing. Couldn't actually sit down and write the stuff tho, hats off to you :)

16th Jun 2005, 12:27

kostika says:

I love marmite, but I'mnot too fond of the marmite crisps. Just don't taste like marmite.

16th Jun 2005, 12:49

Leo says:

No this is true, they don't really. Marmite on fresh, fairly buttery toast is the greatest hangover cure I know. Also great when you get in from the pub/divey nightclub at 2am.

16th Jun 2005, 12:50

kostika says:

Cheese and marmite on toast is the breakfast of gods :o)

16th Jun 2005, 12:54

Joe says:

you're all just wrong....wrong I tell you.

16th Jun 2005, 12:56

Leo says:

Not a marmite lover then Joe? :)

16th Jun 2005, 13:02

Joe says:

it's true what they say, you're either a lover or a hater, and I'm a hater....

16th Jun 2005, 13:03

kostika says:

It took you this long to figure out we weren't quite right Joe? :o)

16th Jun 2005, 13:12

Helen says:

I'm indifferent to marmite. Hah!

16th Jun 2005, 13:17

Leo says:

Indifferent? Impossible! There is a line drawn... No fence sitters allowed!

16th Jun 2005, 13:18

beth says:

i like it.. in very small doses.. say on the corner of a buttery piece of toast.. or all over but then i have to have a buttery piece of toast as well to balance the taste out..
i do adore twiglets though.

16th Jun 2005, 13:21

Joe says:

send the marmite police to Hebden....this is not acceptable.

16th Jun 2005, 13:21

Helen says:

It is possible and I am. I am awkward like that.

I can take it or leave it. But I don't like it in curry.

16th Jun 2005, 13:23

Leo says:

Marmite? In curry?

16th Jun 2005, 13:24

Helen says:

Looks like Beth is verging towards indifferent too!

Oh, twiglets. Yum.

16th Jun 2005, 13:24

Groovicron says:

I'm don't live in your world Leo. Marmite is scraped directly from satan's rectum. bleurgh.

16th Jun 2005, 13:25

Helen says:

In curry, yes, that was a horrible mistake. Not my mistake though.

Marmite is not a good substitute for vegetable stock. Actually, I think it was Vegemite.

16th Jun 2005, 13:25

beth says:

i like it on quorn pieces.

16th Jun 2005, 13:30

Leo says:

Lol no, I can't see vegemite making stock, unless you put a tiny bit on boiling water first, then add that to the curry as you usually would... Don't think I'd try it tho...

Groovicron - whatever you say... We shall agree to disagree? :D

16th Jun 2005, 13:31

kel says:

marmite is great if you add it to gravy...
I have to say that I am one of the supposedly non-existent fence sitters though... just the *tiniest* amount on cheese on toast. Any more and I can't eat it.

16th Jun 2005, 13:33

kostika says:

I'll back ya up Leo. Marmite is the best :o)

16th Jun 2005, 13:34

Leo says:

Who would have thought a packet of crisps could inspire such debate...

16th Jun 2005, 13:35

Leo says:

Thanks kostika... Seems we are the minority round here!

16th Jun 2005, 13:35

kostika says:

Naw we're just in the minorty of the bored people :o)

Marmite always causes odd debate. Its one of its special powers :o)

16th Jun 2005, 13:37

Joe says:

the only good thing about marmite, is that it is a by-product of beer making..and thus helps to bring us wonderous alcohol...thats where the plus points end.

16th Jun 2005, 14:14

Euphro says:

I have to eat it in Antarctica and I think it's OK when you're starving. I rarely eat it in this hemisphere though :)

16th Jun 2005, 14:47

daz says:

I'm definitely a hater. Just thinking about the taste is making me criiiiinge. (My Kiwi friend made me try it once, when we were both staying in the U.S. - she was making her parents send her jars upon jars of that stuff... ;))
