Locks of Love

I've been growing my hair to donate to Locks For Love since September 13,
2004 when Allie Scott died. She was the daughter of a
friend of a friend, so no close connection, but her story really
touched me. I could not think of any other way to honor the life of
someone so small, who touched so many.

I went in today to Michael Anthony who I have gone to for years -
though it has been 3 years since I'd seen him. Frankly, I am
dissapointed in how short it is. I get that it is a nice cut - he is
good - but I had said shoulder length. He *knows* I like my hair
long. I would have liked it about 4-5" longer than it is now. I know
it will grow back quickly and it was for a good cause, but I look in
the mirror and don't see me.

For now I'm still in shock. I don't hate it but it just isn't my style.

You have beautiful, thick hair. I hope it grows back fast for you.

Very good cause for the donation, though.

In regards to the posting by 'ling ling' you did the absolute best thing ever. A very close friend died of cancer two years ago and the only thing that ever bothered her was losing her hair. The fact that you donated your hair to an amazing charity is incredible, and you have gorgeous hair and will make some very sick children very happy. "ling ling' you should be so ashamed of yourself for being so selfish... what comes around goes around. Congratulations on the donation and Happy Holidays!

AANNVV:
Locks of love is getting too much publicity, they got too much donations of hair already.
People who grow their hair long do nto necessarily do it for locks of love and they shall never be pressured into cutting their hair.
But fair enough if you want to grow your hair to donate, you shall not bully long haired people into cutting their hair.
Has this world become hostile to long haired women?

nobody really is pressured into donating their hair. The only one pressuring them to do it is themselves Agatina. Anybody can do what u like with it. Anyways, i think what u did was a fantastic. u should be very proud of what u did

i think what you've done here is so noble. hair grows back, but people who have passed away do not, right?

anyway, you look like you have beautiful hair. it'll be back to a happy length in no time :)

this is worthy of a highlight for the story and ponytail pic, i reckons...hehe.

I donated my hair to Locks of Love just today, actually, and even though it takes a lot of getting used to (after 15 inches gone), I am happy it is going to such a good cause. I know I did the right thing, and am really glad I chose to donate!
