Chasing sailors down Church Street

The perfect surreal activity to end the longest of work days. The Tall Ships
are in town, hence the outbreak of genuine sailors. Look at that swagger.
Whatever it is, don't they just know it?

Hello Sailors!

I expect they had a good reception in L'pool.

hildegard says:

Bet they're not swaggering - reckon they're landsick. :)
You could probably put them on the walzers for half an hour & they wouldn't get dizzy but after being at sea for a while, dry land squirms & rushes up to meet your feet. Very odd sensation...

(Those hats are quite something.)

OJ says:

Thanks Nige. I don't think I've been fave'd before.

Hildegard, I take your point about landsickness but you still can't tell me these young men weren't feeling just a little bit full of themselves.

Love ths - first thought was the same as Sprocket, but also makes me think of that Margie Clark film - Letter to Breghnev?

OJ says:

Thanks JD. Another friend said exactly the same thing on Facebook (where it was my profile picture).

D'you know, I don't think I've ever seen Letter to Brezhnev.
