This towpath has changed a bit since I last rode this way

PrincessJun says:

oo-er that top one is very dramatic! Exciting towpath to ride along!

Caine says:

The difference in atmosphere between the two shots is jarring. I love the reflection in the bottom shot, and the intrusive pink. The top shot is like a modern, raw take on Munch's Scream. Faved the top shot.

13th Aug 2008, 19:24

PrincessJun - it's certainly interesting

Caine - thank you. They're in the same place on opposite sides of the canal with a lot more good graff too

(try as I might, I can't think of what's in that top shot as vandalism)

13th Aug 2008, 19:42

Caine says:

No, I can't think of it that way either. I suppose I should, but there's too much raw power in it, too much intelligence for me to consider it vandalism.

Dhamaka says:

If someone did that to my garage I'd be thrilled..

Also there were a number of barges parked (?berthed? what do you say for barges?) in this area. I got the feeling they were there for the atmosphere

13th Aug 2008, 19:49

Caine says:

Me too. I love seeing barges along a canal. I suppose berthed is right...docked isn't right, and neither is parked!

taniwha says:

Top shot - reminds me of the film Candyman

14th Aug 2008, 11:10

:)
now you say it, yes..

14th Aug 2008, 14:39

nige says:

really? it reminds me of nitin sawhney's first album cover.

14th Aug 2008, 15:16

hmm..

16th Aug 2008, 18:31

JokerXL says:

That'd give you a bit of a fright if you rode down there at night!

24th Aug 2008, 05:50
