I make things on the web, mobile and in the actual world.

I've done lots of bits and bobs over the years, and right now I'm mostly working on this.

I enjoy speaking about things I like, most recently this. You can email me if you'd like, and I'm on twitter.

So I messed about a bit more with running Android on the N800 after some very talented people on the maemo forums at internet tablet talk ( http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21709 ) created some new patches and released an updated kernel. I now have the bluetooth keyboard working nicely, and can even run some of the .apk android applications from android-freeware.org

A new SDK for android came out two days ago that also seems to have a camera device, and I'm sure that these same excellent people are working towards porting that to run on the N800/N810 too, so I'm sure Ill have a play once they have.

The pictures here show some of the available applications in use, including twitterdroid (durr, twitter app), android file (file viewer) and googhelp (essentially search any of your google product spaces from one app).

Twitterdroid is fine, but like gmail etc, because these sites work great in the browser unless it's google gears ready I can't see much point in having dedicated apps for them. I couldn't get any of the other applications to work, bizarrely they are actually deleted from your memory card after booting out of Android. The google products work as you might expect: exceedingly well, especially the maps and core web products like Gmail and Gcal.

Essentially this is just all playing for playing sake at the moment, until there are more apps and a cleaner faster easy install its all just a bit of fun.
