When I was at school in New Zealand, all children learnt to use poi. All the boys learnt the haka too (no girls allowed - they did advanced poi).

I went through a poi phase recently but got a little tired of injuring myself from badly timed swings. serves me right for using poi with big metal spikes on the ends... (just kidding)

Crickson> I believe so! I don't think they'd work too well at raves because you'd be continually smacking people round the head with them, but what do I know? I'm getting old.
