Apparently if they don't stop being broody after a couple of weeks you can dunk 'em in a bucket of cold water to lower their body temperature, and curb the urges...

yeah I had been considering that, given that the method for checking whether she was eggbound was dunking her in a bucket of warm water. I wholeheartedly approve of any animal that can be diagnosed and/or fixed by dunking it in a bucket of water.
