I`ve loved your music since the "Any Day Now" e.p.Whenever you play a show in London I`m there.Brixton Academy crowds love youand with the shows at The Roundhouse (I`m going to the Sunday one) ,the tour and now your fabulous success tonight no doubt stadiums beckon. This latest tour will be a blast and it wouldn`t surprise me to see you receive a standing ovation before you`ve even played a note.I love your intense, passionate music;I love the humour , both on recorded music and live.Whilst you`ve been plugging away for so long you still seem to have fun on stage.Never let that side disappear, your fans in this country admire you for these reasons.I`m really looking forward to Sunday,12 October. Many, many congratulaacetions,Love and Peace,Paul

Niall(niallshan-at-gmail-dot-com) says:

Fantastic win Elbow! Well done.

My wife commented that my reaction on hearing you announced as the winner was as if my 9 year old son won the Mercury proze. Well, I'm just thrilled because I've championed Elbow for years, saw you live twice (in Dublin, looking forward to the next one), and Seldom Seen Kid is quite simply a classic album. Well done boys (and the girls on strings!).

It was wonderful watching the news this morning before setting out to work to hear of your achievements!

Im Sooooooo proud of what you have set out to achieve!!!

Our music teacher Mrs Stephens would be spinning in her grave to know that one of the "lesser prodigies" (i.e. the "non classicals") has become SO famous!

All the best..!!!!
