hildegard says:

You can pickle nasturtium seeds & use them like capers, flowers & young leaves are good in salads - that'll make a dent in 'em. :)

V does mean business! We have a shed, greenhouse, water butts, some incumbent vegetables the previous owner is leaving us (but obviously we have to dig 'em up before they rot), a plum tree, and a LOT of weeds.

Thanks Hildegard, I knew that about the flowers but not the seeds.

Ah wondered why my dog keeps trying to eat them seeds. Not so daft after all!

I'd keep her off 'em Javaboy. They're mildly laxative in humans (eat less than half an ounce a day & you should be ok) but Dizzy being so tiny, the effect would be far greater for her...

Oh, I love nasturtiums! I have quite a few recipes for the flowers and leaves. Ah well, I'm sure all will be tamed. Eventually. :D

Hopefully it will be rewarding. And hopefully the golden autumn sunshine will last.
